Chick-Fil-A is a fast food restaurant that opened in August 2009 on Jackson Avenue across the street from Wal-Mart. Open from 6:30am to 10pm they offer all kinds of chicken from chicken nuggets to chicken salad sandwiches. Since the drive-through line can get very long it may be faster to just go inside and order. They offer a variety of side items, a fruit bowl, cole slaw, french fries, and more.
Catfish one has great catfish, chicken, and seafood platters along with other fried items. The prices are very reasonable, you can get a “light” or full size meal and the light meal is a decent size in itself. Better prices and better taste than Taylor Grocery catfish in my opinion.
Located across University Avenue from the Dodge dealership, past Kroger.
I am not sure of the hours but usually in the late afternoon/evening they are open. I’m sure the hours will be more consistent once the students are back in town for the fall.
Zaxby’s is a chain fast-food style restaurant specializing in chicken tenders. 2574 West Jackson Avenue in front of the Wal-Mart shopping center. They have a lot of fried side items like fried mushrooms. Offer salads, wings, and other chicken items.
Abner’s opened in Oxford in the 80’s and has expanded a lot since then. There are now 2 locations in Oxford, one on Jackson Avenue and one on University Avenue across the street from Chevron.
